They were extricated from the bowels of an abandoned underground lair, these unusual specimens, depictions of a device seemingly intended for full-scale construction.  Scraps of notes and vellum drawings found nearby the small cache of these acetate sculptures revealed that the as-yet unknown but clearly deranged designer had envisioned this would be just one of the elements in a grand -- and gruesome -- endeavor.   Within the documentation found are details suggesting this contraption would be situated in an expansive and deplorable setting, a nightmarish realm filled with murderous machinations and unusual experimental equipment. 

These scale replicas, it has been learned, were intended as enticements to attract the sort of macabre metalsmiths, masons, and woodworkers that could actually fashion a full-sized device based upon these "development models." It is not yet known if any more of these replicas were created or distributed to such uncommon craftsmen.  As of now, and by the unique numerical notations on each, this is all that are known to exist.

You can own a piece of horrifying history, this styrene replica of the devious Pendulum™ device, presented in the prototype-only "acetate brown" tone.  Akin to the solid-cast material that was chiseled, scraped, and scribed by the contraption's originator, this special Prototype Edition is limited to the 100 units recently discovered.  

Presented in 1/13th scale, the prototype is over 11" tall when assembled and features a working pulley system, winch, and swinging blade.  A special 1/13th scale coil of Black Steel Cable, exclusive to this Prototype Edition, is also included for a fully functional device.

Each specimen includes a full-color header card that is individually numbered to preserve its uniqueness to the lot.

Additionally, each specimen includes pre-production artwork by Jim Craig, prototype construction diagrams, and a replica of an original development drawing.   

Never before seen and likely never to be seen again, this Prototype Edition is as unique as it is unsettling.
